These sandwiches are generously filled, with a satisfying weight in the hand and bread that makes its own impression. At Brewing Room, you can make a substantial sandwich the centre of your meal and pair it with coffee brewed to your preferred strength. One diner chose the bacon, cheese and ketchup sandwich, made with crisp-textured sliced bread layered with bacon, cheese and ketchup. Another lunch favourite was a handmade focaccia sandwich packed with vegetables and meat. The fillings and bread combinations vary by order, so there is room to choose according to your mood.
Coffee comes in four strengths: light or standard, made with a paper filter, and strong or extra strong, made with a flannel filter. The strong option uses 30g of coffee beans, around 2 times the usual amount. For extra strong, 30g of beans are used, and only the first 100ml of the extraction is served. Choose a lighter cup, or go for a more concentrated coffee; either way, you can find a brew to suit your sandwich.
For dessert, there is parfait affogato, combining vanilla ice cream with granola, cream and espresso. Whether you stop in for coffee and a sandwich at lunchtime or take a break over coffee and dessert, the quiet dining room is also suited to eating alone.
